Have you ever wonder what really happen to the dinosaurs? Or how old earth really is? The best place to look is Gods Word.
Gen 1:1-2
1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
NIV
#BEGIN_BOOK_COMMENTARY:
You know that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. And, you know that everything God creates is GOOD.
He is not going to create something, than step back and say, ‘Hmm, let me see, I guess there needs some improvement on the waters, they look a little lurky, and I guess I could straighten something’s out because it is in a bit of a confusion.
No, When God creates it is always GOOD
Now, let’s take another look at verse 2.
Gen 1:2
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
KJV
The word was, in the Hebrew means become
The word without form in the Hebrew is tohuw (to’-hoo) which means confusion, empty place, without form, waste, wilderness.
The word and void in the Hebrew is bohuw (bo’-hoo) which means emptiness, void
Let’s read verse 2 again. And the earth became tohuw (confusion, empty place, without form, waste, wilderness. And bohuw (emptiness, void)
And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
I like the way the New Living Bible translates this verse.
Gen 1:2
2 the earth was a shapeless, chaotic mass, with the Spirit of God brooding over the dark vapors.
TLB
Does that sound like something God would create?
Isa 45:18
18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.
KJV
God created the earth not in vain.
The word in vain, in the Hebrew is tohuw (to’-hoo). The same word that was in Gen. 1:2, which means confusion, empty place, without form, waste, wilderness.
So, in Isa 45:18, tells us that God did not create the earth tohuw, He formed it to be inhabited.
How many years are between Gen. 1:1 and Gen. 1:2? We do not know.
I heard Billye Brim say it like this, "As long as scientist needs it to be."
Which is true.
So what happen?
Jer 4:23-28
23 I looked at the earth, and it was formless and empty; and at the heavens, and their light was gone. 24 I looked at the mountains, and they were quaking; all the hills were swaying. 25 I looked, and there were no people; every bird in the sky had flown away. 26 I looked, and the fruitful land was a desert; all its towns lay in ruins before the LORD, before his fierce anger.
27 This is what the LORD says:
"The whole land will be ruined, though I will not destroy it completely. 28 Therefore the earth will mourn and the heavens above grow dark, because I have spoken and will not relent, I have decided and will not turn back."
NIV
This is how the dinosaurs died. Remember God is Light, He got really mad and took Himself away from the earth. And the Earth became tohuw bohuw.
Scientist finally agrees today, that the dinosaurs died all at once. Also, the DNA that was taken from a dinosaur bone doesn’t match any of today’s.
Why was God so mad? You will find it in Isa. 14:12-15
I believe it is good to have, ‘Before the Foundation of the Earth Faith.’
Scientist believes that the Bible was not true, because Christians always for awhile claim that the earth was only 6 thousand years old. And, they had physical proof that the earth was a lot older.
I hope this short study will encourage you to dig deep into Gods Word for answers. Because everything you need to know is in The Bible
